Hi friends I am planning to take cs exec exam in dec. But I have some queries, since the syllabus is new and vast, I want to whether only the self test questions provided in study material will help me clear the exams...

It's not possible as you need to read the entire study material and understand the subject concept. Then only you can answer the papers confidently. There isn't any shortcut here apparently.
