For your kind information I wish to share that Mr. Taylor was a mechanic whose name is respectfully taken as a great contributor. This comes in COST ACCOUNTING which is the core subject of ICWA.

You may switch your career to ICWA. It would be very rewarding and interesting also. You can easily implement cost control and cost reduction the moment you get expertise in it.

The only difficulty you would find is to know basic accounting first. For that buy the books of Accountancy of Standard XI and XII.

For rest of other subjects of your syllabus : Read first two chapters of any subjects very carefully and don't rush to complete it.  For example; until you learn the basic accounting rules very well and its application; don't go forward. Otherwise the same will prove as a speed breaker all the time.

As you wish to make your career in finance; others may  not agree with me that CWA course is a fit course  to make a career in finance.  But believe me; if you get expertise in finance with the help of reading good books which are prescribed for various professional courses (like CA) ; you can also do that because CWA is also well recognized professional qualification.

As a ca final student , n article at pwc , i m also pursuing cfa(us). .

I wud nt suggest u 2 pursue cwa as a career , rather u can opt for cfa (us) program, it adds much more value. .also the success rate of engineering students is quite encouraging . .

n yes 3-4 hrs study will suffice for cfa . .

Lastly if u r considering an indian course in commerce field , it has to be ca n nothing else, but given ur work ex i wud consider that 2 b a futile option fr u. .Gud luck fr ur future. .

Engineering and CWA  is a good combination to have and CWA course will definately add value to your career. A regular study of at least 2 hrs per day upto 2 months before exam and thereafter at least 7-8 hrs a day is required. You can pass the exams through self studies.

engineer with CWA can b a gud combo n u can work in OPERATIONS dept....it vl add value for sure

It's fortunate for other CA firms and CA pursue candidates that you didn't mention that Article ship in India means “It has to be in PWC only"
