What is the procedure to claim refund of deposit of Rs.25,000/- paid at the time of voluntary registration? As per recent amendments the same had to be claimed after 3 years on completing registration in the 4th year. Is there any online application to be made under MVAT?

there is no online application.
you have to make a written application for the same. Please see that you have paid Professional Tax also because they will give refund den only.
If paid please attach all the documents xerox copy of Initial deposit paid and PT paid with your application
So u mean make a written application to the STO who issued the Vat registration. Also, why do they insist on profession tax when the voluntary deposit is related to vat & they are duty bound to refund it to us? Have you made a written application and done it yourself?..thanks for the reply..will do the same
