Rectification or revised return

ITR 297 views 3 replies

Hi There,

I did a mistake in one of a return where I swap the TDS deductor PAN and while processing of return it was processed with a Tax credit mismatch.

So should I need to file a rectification or revised return, please advice.

Regards

Vaibhav

Yes, you have to first obtain approval from CIT and after giving approval file a revised return under condonation of delay u/s 119(2)(b) by furnishing correct TDS deduction
You may do this by way of rectification route under 154. it is error apparent on record.

Thanks @ sourav and @ Kapadia Pravin for reply.

I need your help in filling this - can you guys please help in this, as I am confuse between to go for rectification or revised (Also if I go for revision I am not sure how to obtain approval from CIT or where to apply). I will PM you when you guys are free or you can please PM me.
