Received twice PAN Cards

Holding two PAN card / PA Number is an violation under the provisions of IT act. You need to inform the department immediately and surrender one card / number. Explain the situation to the department in detail for receiving two pan card. You need to surrender the number / card which you have not used so far.

By all means you are bound to surrender one of them at the earliest. No person is allowed to be in possession of two PAN cards in his name at the same point of time. So even if it is the fault of the Department, its ur duty to suurender one of them at the earliest.
