I have a query related to signing the tax audit report u/s 44AB. I am a CA. Can I sign the tax audit report of my father and my uncle? Is there any restriction in this regard? Thanks in advance

I think Tax audit report can be signed as there are no qualifications or disqualifications specified for appointing Tax auditor.

Since there is no express restriction anywhere under income tax act or rules so by principle of negative analogy in my opinion you can sign the tax audit report.
But under CA regulations act you may be guilty of professional misconduct ,pls refer dis link below.

A member cannot express opinion where he is having "substantial interest"..!!
If he does so ..the member shall be deemed to be guilty of professional misconduct under
Clause 4 of Part 1 of the Schedule 2 of the C.A. Act, 1949.
The consequences of the abovementioned misconduct are any or all of the following :
1) Reprimand the member
2) Removal of the name from the register of member for any period or permanently
3) Find upto Rs. 500,000 /-
