Thank you for your reply but can you be more specific to my question. :)

1 No you can not write your papers under old Syllabus. You have to compulsorily switch over to the New Syllabus.

2 For Exemptions in correspondin papers of the New Syllabus please visit ICSI website www.icsi.edu

There is a table of Papers under Old Syllabus and Corresponding papers of the New Syllabus in which you will be exempted, posted above. The Table is simple to understand.

The table is also given in the Student Bulletin.

3 You have to give your choice of optional paper in third module. There is no exmption from optional paper - open book examination.

4 Suggest visit ICSI webside regularly and read Chartered Secretary Journal and Student Chartered Secretary Bullitin regularly.

Also down load latest Study Material, Updates, Supplements from the website to prepare for the examination.

Print copies of the latest editions of Study Materiasl are never made available to the students except may be on Tax Laws.

On switchover :

Students will be exempted in 'Information Technology & Systems Audit' Paper of the New Syllabus and

they will be exempted in elective paper if they have passed 'Strategic Management, Alliances & International Trade' paper under the Old Syllabus
