Case of the assessee has been selected for scrutiny. Scrutiny proceedings have not yet coomenced. Subsequuently search has taken at various places of the assessee. Do the scrutiny proceedings become invalid? In this eventuality, is the assessee required to write to the assessing officer to suspend the scrutiny assessment proceedings in view of the search? When search action takes place, all incomplete assessments get abated automatically. Assessee need not submit any application for the same. The scrutiny assessments of preceeding 6 years may be re-opened depending upon what the deparment has found during the search action.

please explain the above reffered search.
