difference between a cooperative society and cooperative housing society

To understand it practically, in Housing society the entity pursue the same cause of meeting the common need of housing or its improvement based on mutual assistance. While other co-operatives can be for any othe common cause like finance (bank), Milk, sugar etc etc.................... Many state authorities have different bye-laws for different co-operatives, specifically housing or bank.
