Professional Tax is calculated on total salary earned during the six months (Since Tax payment is made Half-Yearly) and the slabs are given based on the salary earned.

In your case there is no need to pay Rs.2500 by Mr.A since he is working in two firms.

Based on the total salary earned by Mr.A from both the firms the Professional Tax will be levied; but not based on the no. of firms he worked.
