Query regarding payment of professional tax for company..
"Where any company, corporate body, society, firm, body of persons or association, pays the tax under this chapter, any director, partner or member as the case may be, of such company, corporate body, society , firm, body of persons or association shall not be liable to pay tax under this Chapter for the income derived by such director partner or member form such company, corporate body, society, firm, body of persons or associations".
These lines are the extract from the Professional tax website. Can you pls explain these lines?
If a person is director in two different companies, whether professional tax needs to be paid by him for the 2nd company if he has paid already for 1st company?
