Profession Tax COVID-19

If there is no sale or purchase transaction of a dealer (due to COVID-19) and situation is going to be the same upto 31-03-2020.

Still Maharashtra PTEC liability is to be paid or not???

Can we say no business no PROFESSION, so no tax??

Quick Summary
This discussion addresses whether Maharashtra Profession Tax (PTEC) is still payable by dealers who had no sales or purchases due to COVID-19, up to March 31, 2021. The consensus is that tax liability remains, regardless of business activity or closure, unless specific exemptions like age (over 65) apply. Simply having no business does not automatically waive the PTEC obligation.

There's is no such exemption
if you're age is 65 then you can get as I think other exemption is not allowed to you
Profession Tax needs to be paid Sir irrespective of the fact that any business was carried on or not during the year...
What if the business was closed ??
You are liable to pay PT
Sorry correction in question 31st march 2021

Closed as in widind up
