Procedure for verification of answer books of Chartered Accountants-Final,

PCE, IPCE/ATE-Units, Examinations- Nov 2010 and CPT- Dec 2010

22nd January 2011

1.    Candidates who are desirous of applying for verification of the marks obtained by them in the Nov. 2010 exams are requested to note and follow the procedure detailed below:

2.    The application for verification of marks must be in the handwriting of the candidate. If the candidate had appeared in Hindi medium, his/her application should be in Hindi. Typewritten applications will not be entertained.

3.    There is no standard format as such for such application. However, the application should clearly indicate the following details and should be duly signed by the candidate.

·         Examination appeared-such as Final (Old)/Final New/PCE/IPCE/CPT

·         Roll no.

·         Paper(s)/subjects to be verified

·         Student Registration No

·         Address for communication

4.     Candidate should not write their e-mail IDs or mobile number or landline numbers in such verification requests.

5.    There is no provision for revaluation of papers

·         For Final, PCE, IPCE/ATE, IPCE/ATE-units: The verification fee is ` 100/- per paper subject to a maximum of ` 400/- for all the papers of a group/both groups.

·         For CPT: The verification fee is ` 200/-

6.    The fees is payable by way of a demand draft drawn in favour of “The Secretary, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India” payable at New Delhi.

7.    Though it will be our endeavour to inform the outcome of verification in respect of Nov. 2010 exams, as sought by the candidates latest by 20th April 2011, yet the same cannot be assured, due to time consuming processes involved. However, all such candidates who do not receive the response latest by 20th April 2011, are advised to send an email to Sr Deputy Director (Examination) at exam @ icai.org for necessary action.

8.    Candidates are advised to submit their examination form for the forthcoming examination, if they so wish, pending receipt of the outcome of verification of answer books of the Nov. 2010 exams. 

9.    The application along with the demand draft should be sent at any one of the following addresses so as to reach us within a period of one month from the date of the declaration of results.

Bro I have a confusion. According to me we are not allowed to write our Registration No. on the request. Do correct me wheter I am right or not...

We have to mention Roll number, reg number as well as Paper applied for..

institute tells no provision for revaluation... only recheking is possibl.. wat is it supposed to mean??

Wts  the Difference btw re checking and revaluation ????

i got 41 in c&fm.. expecting 60 above... i didnt clera as i got 187 in aggregate..

i am confident of my c &fm paper... wat do i do??

@ Aashish : Reverification includes re-totalling and valuing those answers that were not valued due to oversight .... Revaluation is the process of verifying the entire answer sheet again....

@ Prashant... so Wat do u think.. i attempted for 86 marks.. and was expecting 70... so shd i go for rechecking???

Aashish give a try no harm in that... I have got 59 in MICS... Even I am going for re-verification... Lets see... 

@ Aashish: You should try for your personal satisfaction. I will suggest it is better to prepare for May attempt because the result of re-checked paper could be announced on 20th April. SO its better to start out studies and go ahead instead of waiting for them. and I also failed in IT-SM in 2nd group and also expecting exption.No worries we will try our double efforts for May if you want to give.

iwnt apply for rechecking procedure for 5 papers ,tht is grp1 & one paper of grp2 ,so wht will be the charges ,is it 400 or 500?
