Hello All,

I am contemplating to start my career as a practicing Chartered Accountant.I have already applied for the Certificate of Practice. How can I develop contacts to get clients? Can I advertise for my services and solicit work?

Also, I am open to offers from the esteemed professional colleagues towards partnership or associateship.

Thanks and Regards,

Sukanya

Hi Sukanya

The law says you cannot solicit clients. Fact of the matter is, you can't get a client unless and untill you reach out to people in some manner or the other. Word of mouth marketing is the best marketing. Try out a few firms in your locality and offer them your services. They should be the first lead, and slowly build upon them. Keep up your promises, deliver on time, and few years down the line, you'd be offering advices on how to run a professional office.

Persistence and persevearance would definitely pay you dividends in the long run.

All the best.
