        If you know the full name of the firm then go at the institute site www.icai.org where in members you can see that list of firms as on 1st april 2012. and also all the partners and branch detail of the firm.

From the partner's membership no. you can see partner's full details.

By the above information you will able to find out that how much old the firm was and how much partners is there in?? which will give you transparency in your decision..

It think you have to talk with the partners of firm and you can also check the details of firm on this link...
