can u plz tl me whats the due date for payment of excise duty to govt by SSi

its 5th of the following month of quarter end to which it relates.

however in case of quarter end of march duty shall be paid by 31st march only.

but sir i had read sm whr dat d date for payment is 15th of the following month of quarter end to which it relates.

With effect from 1.4.2010 due date for SSI units is 5th of the following month of end of quarter to which it relates.As per Notification No.5/2010 dated 27.02.2010

and before this it was 15th of the following month of end of month.

means before 1.4.2010 it was monthly but after amendment & 1.4.2010 its quarterly.
