Also plss say,what is pre-acquisition profit and post acquisition profit?explain with example..

pre-acquisition profit
the retained profit of a company earned before a takeover and therefore not eligible for distribution as a dividend to the shareholders of the acquiring company. Its a capital profit
post-acquisition profit
the retained profit of a company earned after a takeover and therefore eligible for distribution as a dividend to the shareholders of the acquiring company. Its a revenue profit.

Profit earned by a Co prior to date of Certificate of Incorporation is called as Pre acqusition profit and after that it is Post acqusition Profit the above mentioned terms are used when the business acquired by some body.
If you have joined classess the n in my view no need to refer to any other book, for practical you can solve past qn from scanner.

scanner publication for accounts , author is arun kumar. its a text book. in that book both theory and practicle problems with solution is there.. i felt it really helpful for me..
