As of July 2026, the FDI policy for land-bordering countries (including China) has been relaxed to allow automatic route investments for entities with passive, non-controlling beneficial ownership of up to 10%. Additionally, a 60-day fast-track approval process has been established for specific critical manufacturing sectors to boost domestic production and supply chain integration.
