Can you give me the name of a book for C.A. Final DT which is best for self - study, is student friendly and covers the whole syllabus ( both theoretical & practical aspects). I thought of going for T. Manoharan's book but got confused after reading some of the comments like the book has mistakes and it does not cover the whole syllabus.
Please give your valuable suggestions.

Best coverage & deep knowlegde in DT, you will get in VINOD GUPTA. This book has covered various case laws, all questions of previous exams & many more........ The author has divided beautifully all topics in 8 parts which is easy to learn as well as to carry any where u want.... It upon you finally.....
i read depthly all those bokks suggested above
in my view padhuka publications book is best from these
friends followd Vinod gupta sir's module and taken classes as well
some of the drawbacks are
1. do not cover salary exam coverage 5 marks
2. do not cover house property exam coverage 5 marks
3. have raw language of new perquisites rules without any explanations and examples exam coverage at least 5 marks
4. too much stress on appeals seach seizure and assessment procedures. our almost 2 mnths of classes taken on these two modules only. Exam coverage just 8 marks
5. In classes Exemptions of section 54 are nt covered. November 2010 exam coverage 10 marks
6. Great exposure on practical life but lesser from exam point of view. Apart from salary and house property he had left many more small chapters like tonnge, co operative societies etc
well SANJHI AGGARWAL all india first rank holder secured 83 marks in DT after reading from this book in may 2010.
But in the very next attempt that is November 2010 almost 40 marks question paper was not from his book.
I tool each and every lecture seriusly
ICAI has a number of case studies in its recent case laws book out of which 60% are same with vinog gupta sir's book
but in exam all questions came from rest 40% case studies which were not in VGsir;s module
so we can say that The student of VG sir had been targetter this time
but to all dear friends who are going to take classes from VG sir
he really is the most eminent personality who can teach in india the vast and always updating subject like DT
And i have never seen So modest teacher in the entire ca teachers fraternity
my suggestion would be if u are going to do self study go for manoharan
or if u are going with VG SIR'S module at least cover the uncovered portion mentioned above
Dr.Vinod.K.Singhania & Kapil Singhania, its the best book available in India for CA Final, the other books are copied from this.
