I took coaching for SFM from Sanjay Saraf sir. I scored less & I was weak too in this subject. in last attempt (nov 15) I got An Sridhar & did Derivatives & Security A from this book & all from Saraf's. still scored less ... I agree I was still not confident about derivatives & Sa chp. others I did well. now I am doing from both saraf and sridhar. I did portfolio but still I am not getting confidence. I am confused. sridhar has much though practical problems are solve good in sridhar and few concepts explained well. I am not getting how to proceed...Please guide me. I want to anyhow score good and pass. becoz pf this subject I don't want my group/result back.
For conceptual clarity, you can follow any of the books you feel comfortable with. But, after that.. solve questions from practice manual. I think practice manual will surely help you a lot.
You need to practice variety of questions. So, if you find some different kind of questions in sanjay saraf book or sridhar.. then practice them also along with practice manual. And I don't know whether PM theory is sufficient or not. It's better if you read summary theory notes.
Hello ankita derivatives is a huge chapter their may be frustration while doing sums my advise to you would be complete all the chapters and do derivatives at last PM is ok but don't confuse/overburden yourself with multiple books pick only one and be confident if you are really not understanding something only then look/open the other book !! For Theory don't waste to much time gather summary notes from somewhere google them PM theory is quite vast as well
u can practice sfm from j b gupta its a good buk but quantity for ques are too high i got expemtion in sfm when i refered jb gupta over sanjay saraf material
please don't refer to many books. stick to one book for reference. do pm, supplementary material, rtp for Nov as well as may. that is more than enough to clear.
also u should know that very often the sfm paper will have some unexpected questions. but the rest of the paper is manageable. so focus on getting the 70-80 marks in hand and don't worry abt the unexpected.
