Please Help

I m preparing the paper of SFM and facing difficulty in finding formula for calculating these values..........

1. How to calculate exponential values ( in Derivatives chapter).

2. Please give me the formula for the calculation the Z values.

3. How to calculate Log values.

4. How to calculate Antilog value.

Please give me formula to calculate above values without seeing the table (Log etc.)

Please guide.

1. WRITE 2.7183

2. TAP ‘ √ ‘ (i.e. Square Root) 12 times

3. DEDUCT ‘ 1 ‘ (= 0.00024417206)

4. PRESS ‘ M+ ‘ KEY

5. WRITE THE NO. OF WHICH ,YOU WANT TO FIND LOG

(E.G. LOG 5 THEN WRITE 5)

6. TAP ‘ √ ‘ (i.e. Square Root) 12 times

7. DEDUCT ‘ 1 ‘

8. PRESS ‘ ÷ ‘

9. PRESS ‘ MRC’

10. PRESS ‘ = ‘ (ANSWER WILL BE IN BASE e)



IF TO FIND IN THE BASE OF 10 THEN :-

11. PRESS ‘ X ‘ (i.e. MULTIPLY BY) AND WRITE 0.4343

12. PRESS ‘ = ‘ (ANSWER WILL BE IN BASE 10)





NOTE :- ABOVE 1ST THEREE STEPS WILL BE COMMON SO IT IS BETTER TO

REMEMBER THE VALUE ‘ 0.00024417206 ‘







FOR EXAMPLE :- LOG 5 = 0.6990

NOW WE WANT TO FIND LOG OF 5 :-



1. WRITE 0.00024417206

2. TAP ‘ M+ ‘ KEY

3. WRITE THE NO. YOU WANT TO FIND THE LOG i.e. 5

4. TAP ‘ √ ‘ (i.e. square root) 12 TIMES (= 1.00039300638)

5. DEDUCT ‘ 1 ‘ (= 0.00039300638)

6. TAP ‘ ÷ ’

7. TAP ‘ MRC ’

8. TAP ‘ = ’ (1.6095 – ANSWER IN BASE e )

9. TAP ‘X’ (i.e. MULTIPLY) BY 0.4343 THEN TAP ‘=’

(0.6990 – ANSWER IN BASE 10)





NOTE FOR ABOVE EXAMPLE :-

WE CAN DIRECTLY DIVIDE BY 0.00024417206 IN STEP – 7 INSTEAD

OF USING ‘MRC’ BUTTON , IN SUCH CASE , THERE IS NO NEED OF

STEP – 1 & 2. YOU CAN DIRECTLY START FROM STEP -3

1. WRITE THE NO.

2. TAP ÷ (i.e. divide ) by 0.4343 & = (equal to)

3. TAP X (i.e. Multiply ) by 0.00024417206

4. ADD ‘ 1 ‘

5. TAP ‘X & = ‘ (MULTIPLY & EQUAL TO) 12 TIMES SIMULTANEOUSLY.





FOR EXAMPLE :- LOG 5 = 0.6990

NOW WE WANT TO FIND ANTILOG OF 0.6990 THEN



1. 0.6990

2. (0.6990 ÷ 0.4343) = 1.60948653004

3. (1.60948653004 X 0.00024417206) = 0.00039299164

4. (0.00039299164 + 1) = 1.00039299164

5. (1.00039299164 X THEN FOR 12 TIMES

= 4.9997 ~ 5 (i.e. log 5)

Hey Friends ever wondered how to find out the answer for xn (base "x" to the power of "n")

 

For e.g. did crack down your head to know the answer for something like this

2.718280.06 (xn) using a calculator allowed in the CA/CWA/CS examination hall

Let me tell you the way out

 

 

Step i) put down the base (2.71828) in your calculator and now press the √ (Square root) key 12 times.

(in our e.g. you will get 1.00024417026)

Step ii) now subtract 1 from the number as per step (ii).

(In our example 1.00024417026 -1=0.00024417026)

 

Step iii) now multiply the number as per step (ii) with the power 'n'(in our e.g. 0.06)

 

(0.00024417026 X 0.06 = 0.00001465021)

 

Step iv) now add back one to the number as per step (iii).

(0.00001465021+1=1.00001465021)

 

Step v) now the final step press "X=" keys('Multiplication' and 'Equal To' keys one after the other) 12 times and that’s the answer.

 

(1.00001465021 X= X= X= X= X= X= X= X= X= X= X= X=  you will get 1.06184 and that's the answer)
