tax payer did file GST return from July 2017. how the penalty will be?

you can file return from the date when you taken registration under the act.
and if you have taken reg on july17 and did not file any return then you have to pay late fees. it will be shown on portal when you will be about to file return. or you can calculate @ 25/- CGST 25/- SGST for data return and @ 10/- for Nil Return
