PE-II,MAY - 09 Should i Appear or Not

Dear Friends, I had registered for CA PE II course in June 06, but somehow never appeared for same as was concentrating in family business.Now i can completely devote my self to completing the same.I inquired with the institute and was informed that i could appear for the PE II last attempt being held in May - 09( Now shifted to June, 09), I have also been informed that if i clear any group i shall paper wise exemption in future exam of new syllabus.

I request you to kindly inform me what would be the best option for me to excercise in your opinions.
