Quick Summary
A company has paid a supplier for goods including GST, but the supplier mistakenly used another company's GSTIN on their return. The company has claimed Input Tax Credit (ITC) but their auditor has advised paying back ₹33 lakhs to the government. The user is seeking advice on how to resolve this issue and recover the ITC, with suggestions including the supplier rectifying the invoice or providing a certificate of liability.

Refund the ITC you availed with the incorrect gstn in return
Thaks for reply but supplier has uploaded wrong GSTIN
Ask him to rectify his invoice. If rectification not possible then obtain certificate to the effect that mistake was done on part of supplier and will be liable for any tax, penalty, interest if incurred due to this mistake
