Pan change and what to do with existing name

Hello,

My Wife has PAN no. XXYYZZAA before marriage. I have applied online and change the surname and the new PAN I got has same PAN no. XXYYZZAA.

I have two pan for my wife with before marriage and after marriage surname. The PAN no is Same XXYYZZAA.

Do I need to surrender or cancel or depsoit the before marriag surname PAN with NSDL or UTILS or anywhere ??? Or can I kept both the PAN.

Please advise.

i think you had applied for correction in PAN data and that is why you received fresh PAN with same pan no..... now you dont need to use the old pan because the change in name has been updated on same pan no..... there is also no need to surrender the old pan, just keep it or destroy.
