Can any one help me on requirement of ID proofs for application of new PAN for Non Resident.
- My client is a non resident, residing in USA since 18 years. Visit India to their natives every year, stayed for max. 2 months.
- They had NRO account with SBI.
- They had American passport. The information on American passport such as address is not readable i.e. it is in bar coded language readable only on machine. They also had OCI card issued by Indian Embassy in USA for permission of work & stay in USA. But the information on OCI card is also in bar code.
- They niether had Votor ID Card nor had their name on the Ration Card in India.
They applied PAN with copies of passport, the application rejected by NSDL.
So, How can we apply for PAN & what enclosures could be attached.
