what happens if I pay igst instead of cgst &sgst?can anyone explain this??

I paid tax to central govt (Igst) which it need to go to state and central..how there will be set off?
It will automatically set off in Port
File GST PMT 09 to transfer the tax from one head to other.
Some people are saying to amend is that a right way to do so?
If u paid tax in wrong head, then transfer,
if u mentioned wrong tax in GSTR1, then amend it.
As I have to pay in Cgst&Sgst but I have paid tax in Igst account..and amending the invoice in the next month and showing it under Cgst & Sgst is a valid form to do .. can u explain this sir?
No... do not ammend gstr1...
But I get suggestions like amend the invoice..is there any problem if I amend the invoice becz of posting in wrong account?
