I filed a revised ITR and made a payment against the outstanding demand in the demand intimation letter I received. I made payment through pre-login mode. I've checked all the details entered in the challan, minor and major heads properly selected. I made the payment on 26th December, 2023. But when I checked in the 'pending actions --> Response to outstanding demand', It shows no demand. Though I've just made the payment and not responded to any response on the portal.
So, I'm just concerned about it. Is it ok or there is some problem here which I'm not getting.
Does it take time for demand response to show in portal?
Will my paid challan be automatically squared-off against the demand?
How much time will it take for my ITR status to move from 'processed with demand due' to complete?
Please can someone shed some light on this issue and suggest what is to be done?
