Obtaining service tax number

Can we get the service tax number for a proprietorship firm even though income is not more than 10 lac?

One more thing that i have just opened a IT proprietorship firm and opend a bank a/c only so now want to make all legal procedures.

If you are going to do sale n service both then you need to take both sales tax and service tax registration.
For that you need fill online application for both and submit to applicable dept along with all relevant documents.

Rent agreement or property tax receipt for your residence and for business, utility or telephone bill for both, ID proof and photos of yours
