Non filing of income tax return

ITR 449 views 9 replies

Dear All,

I am a salaried employee with no other income than salary. I have not filed my ITR for any previous years because TDS was deducted by my employer and I didn't realised that I have to file ITR but now I have received a notice asking to submit my response for non filing of ITR, in the compliance portal online. Please suggest me what response should I submit and what consequences are going to be and is there any reason to be afraid of?

Thanks to All

No.. not at all.
you can contact me on this no. 9991240242

From Which year,,,?

If your income cross the taxable slab of income as per your form 16 then complsory to filling of ITR,if you dont file the ITR...at this time you file only last 2 financial year ITR.
From Assessment Year 2013-14
Which year notified in NMS notice...???

Also you can file your belated return and you ll contact your Ward AO...
They ll give proper solutions...
nothing to worry... you can login into the link provided in the notice and file return for all a.ys for which you have asked to file return of income. before filing pls ensure that you don't have any other sources of income such as share trading, interest on fds etc. for further clarification WhatsApp me on 9445955357
at the bottom of the notice, you will be notified of list of transactions that you have did during the concerned f.ys. if there any, include that also.. if it's FD interest and stcg/ profit from share trading
No I have not been asked to file return but it is asked for submit a response only.
response in the sense, if you are not entitled to file ROI then the same need to be mentioned in the compliance sheet but if your taxable income is above the exemption limit then you have to ROI for those A.Ys
