NIL TDS return

Dear Subhajit,

Yes it is mandotory to file nil TDS return for all assessee's.

As far as new annual returns are concerned, i don't think that depatment has notified anything in regard..So as of now quarterly reutns are being filed..

Hopefully department will soon come up with the rules/notifications..

Sir, please provide me the deatils of IT ACt / Rules for submission of NIL TDS return.

I DON'T THINK IT IS WRITTEN ANYWHERE, THIS THING IS MANDATED BY PRACTICAL LIFE SINCE AT THE YEAR END U HAVE TO FILE ANNUAL RETURN WHICH WILL NOT BE POSIIBLE UNLESS U HAVE FILED THE RETURN OF ALL 4 QUARTERS( EVEN IF NO TRANSANCTION WAS THERE)

as pew the law u need not to file nil return ,but for the safer side files the return because it cost u very less

& for latest updates in the filing software of TDS regularly visit to www.tin-nsdl.com

Nil Return  should be filed quarterly....i don't think any notification regarding Annual return has come....

hey in which section it says to file TDS rertun NIL..............If i have not deducted Tax why to file Return...........

Nil  TDS return is not mandatory
