Nil return TDS

Hi,

For the Q1 quarter of FY 21-22, I've not made any payments where have to deduct TDS and my employees salary also within threshold limit.

Whether Nil TDS filing will be fine or anything else need to be done.

Thanks in advance

Quick Summary
If you haven't made any payments requiring TDS deduction or your employee salaries are below the threshold for Q1 of FY 21-22, you generally don't have to file a Nil TDS return. While filing a Nil return won't cause problems, it's not compulsory. You can opt to file a declaration on the TRACES portal instead to indicate no TDS liability for the quarter.

Tds return should be filed with NIL

No compulsion to file nil tds return. Alternatively, you may file a declaration to this extent on traces portal if you want to.

There's no need to file TDS return for the respective Quarter

But if filed will it creates any problems??

There shall be no problem

You may file a declaration to this extent on traces portal if you want to. No need to file return
Thanks for the information Misha
