New business gst registration

743 views 1 replies

I am trying to register for GST on the gst dot gov portal, for my new business which is of selling artificial jewelry online and I am a sole proprietor of it.

Question 1 - I have heard there is no Authorization Letter needed for proprietors, but the GST portal is asking for a Letter of Authorization. Should I authorize myself on behalf of my trading name?

Question 2 - To upload the Letter of Authorization, should I first print & sign it and then upload the scanned copy?

Question 3 - Also, the "Letter of Authorization" format asks for a stamp, where should I get this from? Is the stamp mandatory?

Yes for Proprietor there is no need to attach any Authorisation letter in case of new registration. There is an option also authorised signatory click yes then Next page autopopulated it will not ask for any authorisation letter
