I submit my ITR-4 for AY 2017-18 in August 2017. My ITR was processed on May-2018 (just this month and after completing the AY year).
I got a notice u/s 143(1)(a) since 1 entry from form 26 AS is missing in my ITR. Since that entry bank made after filling my return and now I got the notice in may-2018.
Can I simply file the revised return u/s 139(5)?
If no, then what option I have, under what section I submit the revised return including that entry.
Yes......... First file revised return u/s. 139(5) (with the correction) and agree to the suggested defect, under compliance (after log in)
In my case CPC ITR processed by revised ITR2 of Aug 2017 in May 2018. They came up with query of salary income mismatch in ITR2 with respect to ITR2 declaration to the tune of 21700 which is nothing but conveyance and empoyment tax.
where to enter the tax on employment and conveyance allowance on ITR2 is a big hurdle.
