Need an advice

I cleared my CPT in December 2010 n have registered for IPCC.I am also doing MCOM exams of which are are held in May.I am currently preparing for MCOM exams n will start preparing for IPCC only after MCOM exams.so I'll only have 5 months for that.so if everything goes right I am planning to give group-1 exams in Nov n group-II in May next year.the problem s that dates of IPCC exams n MCOM exams are almost certain to clash, can anything be done about that.?

if not,I have 3 options

a)give my group-1 exams in Nov n hope exams dont clash, but that is very unlikely, hopefully something can be done about that.if cleared it would give me about 2-5 yrs to prepare for CA Finals.but I dont wanna miss my MCOM exams at any cost

b)go for broke n give both groups exams in Nov this year itself.my cousin whos a CA suggested me this.he feels I can do both of them at once.but I am not at all confident of that, because I am an average student n not one of those who study all day.the max I can study is 10 hours a day.I dont wanna mess up my chances of clearing even group-1.now the question is if I appear for both groups in Nov n fail in a group-II exam, would I be deemed to have cleared group-1 or would I have to do it all  over again?if group-1 is considered cleared then I may give it a thought n study more for group-1 n less for group-2.if I get lucky n clear both groups,it'll give me 3 yrs for my first attempt at CA finals.its very tempting thought

c)third option is safest option.give group-1 in Nov this year n give group-2 in Nov next year.again the question is will I have to appear for only group-2 exams in Nov next year according to this option.or will my skip in May 2012 will be onsidered a failed attempt n I would have to do both groups again?.  this option will give me 1.5 yrs to prepare before I'll be elgible for first attempt at finals.I dont know if that would be enough,as I know its very tough n I'm just average student

I'm really confused.please advise what to do?I am sorry for bringing my personal confusion here, but I didnt get any better place to get advise.

thanks in advance

In my opinion, I will say, go for both the groups in November itself. You will need to have confidence in yourself. 10 hours study time is no less. Properly plan your studies.

And since you are doing M.Com, you will find most of the topics have already been studied by you at various levels like B.com. (though the level of CA exams is higher, and needs in depth study).

go for it.. There is no risk. Just go for it!!!!

thanks.but I'll have only 5 months to studay due to my MCOM exams.do u think I can prepare for both groups in just 5 months.the syllabus seems too lare for me.

also if I appear for both groups in Nov n fail in group-II,will my group-1 be considered clear,if yes then I can think about it n study more for group-1 to be secure n for group-2 a less since I only need 50

also,I forgot to mention that since I'm handicapped,I wont be doing articleship n will be using dummy.therefore I am thinking of giving exams group-wise.but doing both groups in Nov this year is tempting too,as if cleared,it'll give me more time to prepare for finals,n also remove tension while preparing for MCOM-II.but seems too tough.I really cant decide.pls help

also please suggest ways,if any that I can avoid clash of MCOM-II exams n IPCC exams in May next year.

thanks in advance

WHY TO TAKE A CHANCE.. BETTER GO FOR BOTH D GROUPS IN NOVEMBER.. THATS BETTER.. ITS ALWAYS GOOD TO GIVE BOTH D GROUPS TOGETHER... U NEVER KNW D LUCK FACTOR... ONE OF MY FRIEND HAS GIVEN BOTH D GROUPS.. HE WAS GETTING FAILED IN GROUP 1 BY 10 MARKS BUT BCOZ OF HIS SURPLUS IN SECOND GROUP HE CLEARED BOTH D GROUPS.. N I HAD GIVEN ONLY GROUP 1 AND STILL REGRETTING DAT IF I WOULD HAV GIVEN BOTH D GROUPS TOGETHER I WOULD HAV BEEN A CA FINAL STUDENT... GO FOR BOTH OF THEM.. 5 MONTHS ARE SUFFICIENT PROVIDED U UTILISE DEM PROPERLY

hi,sorry for late replying.got lost with so many threads.thanks for replying.

now for ur advice, why do u think I'll be taking a chance by doing only group-1?why is giving both groups together better?please elaborate.wont doing 4 subjects in 5 months easier than doing 7?yes the marks can be compensated if I do it together, but still I would need 350 marks in one go,whereas I would need only 200 marks to pass if I do group-1 only,no?

7 subjects in 5 months seems a lot to me,I'm not too brilliant, just average.what I dont want is going both groups n then failing both.I wanna pass one group atleast

please reply.I'm very confused.thanx in advance
