Municipal tax on house property

Dear friends, A building has three floors, first floor is self occupied balance second and ground floor has been let out. As per rule Municipal tax can be claimed as deduction only for let out property. now how can i claim municipal tax deduction for the second and ground floor when i calculate Income from house property?

Take the proportionate amount i.e. Rs. XXX *2/3.

For example, if it is Rs. 3,000/- you can claim Rs. 2,000/-.

Dear Article,

 

As you are aware, you will be eligible for deduction only for let out property.So as per in your case, you are eligible to take deduction for 2/3 of municipal tax.
