Membership fee

Dear Sir/Madam, My Principal sir has paid excess membership fee of Rs.3550 ( which is showing as member's balance). Now he has to pay the Annual Membership Fee of Rs.8000. How can we adjust or utilise the excess balance while paying the current membership fee???
