Medical reimbursment exp.

Others 217 views 1 replies
Dear all, As per income tax rules an employer can reimburse medical exp upto Rs. 15000 to employee and the same is not taxable. my query is, if any employee purchases some medical equipment e.g a device to check blood pressure, or an device to check fever, then whether the same can be reimbursed or not. and one more thing if any doctor prescribe any medical devise to any patient e.g a person suffering from breath related issue and doctor prescribe some pump so that he/she can take breath properly, whether exp incurred on the same will be covered under reimbursement upto rs 15000.

All the medicines, devices, check-ups as referred/prescribed by any registered doctor (under governmental recognized medical stream) should be allowed under medical expenses.
