Hi, Medical Reimbursement or Medical Allowance upto Rs 15000/-  is a part of your salary structure. Under Income tax Act,you can claim exemption of medical reimbursement only upto the amount of actual bills submitted to the employer.

There is no provision for seperately submitting the medical bills to the IT department at the time of filing the return.

However, Kindly refer to the provisions of section 80D wherein one can avail an exemption upto Rs 5000 for preventive health checkup at the time of filing the return, provided you have the relevant actual bills with you. Kindly note that this amount is inclusive while calculating the overall maximum limit available under that section.

Thanks,

Shloka

Thank you so much sir
