Maternity pay received in lump sum can be treated as arrears

Hi Good Evening ,

Maternity pay received in one lump sum in two different financial years, Pay was pertaining to the fy 2017-18 and received in the fy 2018-19 and the company has charged the tax in the fy 2018-19

Can the maternity pay received in the fy 2018-19 pertaining to the fy 2017-18 can be treated as arrears and claim relief u/s 89

Please revert

It is taxable under head of salary (Parental Leave).  

Yes relief can be claimed 89(a)
By now ITR of AY 2019-2020 must have been filed also.

The relief under 89 is eligible in your case.

89 Relief you can take provided you filed Form 10E before due date of ITR

Hi, I had filed form 10E but have mentioned the previous year as FY which is wrong how do I correct it now Please suggest

Received a demand from IT as 10E filed wrongly

As well while rectification XML data to be uploaded again , while uploading what i have to mention Filed u/s

PY as FY is same. problem must be somewhere else.
