Master circular on foreign investment 2015 - still in force?

Dear Experts,

The current set of FEMA regulations has greatly evolved these past few months and we have now Master Directions alongside with Master Circulars on various FEMA topics. However the core Master Circular on Foreign Investment has not been, to my knowledge, addressed by any of these new Master Directions. It has not been updated in July 2016 as other Master Circulars either.

My question is: is the Master Circular on Foreign Investment updated in 2015 still valid and in force? If not, where are addressed all provisions related to the transfer of shares, pricing guidelines, investment in India by foreign entities, etc?

Dear Sir,

Many thanks for your answer.

However this Master Direction only addresses the issue of reporting, and does not cover the main topics of the Master Circular on Foreign Investment, such as modes of investment, modalities of transfer between residents and non-residents, pricing guidelines, etc.
