There is nothing wrong in ICAI maitaining its standards of qualifying a CA Student. But, at the same time a CA student needs to get the marks he deserves, otherwise, the students may get de-moralised and leave up the course itself. I am CA student or rather a Semi-qualified CA struggling to finish off my only group left (Group II) of CA Final for the past several years. But could not clear even in the Nov'15 attempt. Yes, I do agree that a student may fare badly in a couple of exams but not every time. No one can assure that there is 100% transparency in the valuation of Answer scriptts. There may be mistakes committed by the Valuers, but those things hardly come out. I can even mention a case which was posted almost 1 1/2 years back in CAClubindia which is like this.
A girl scored 179/400 in Group II in May 2014 examination and failed by 21 marks, but passed in all the subjects. She applied for verification and was declared passed by the Institute by awarding 21 marks and she ultimately scored 200/400. What if she has not applied for Verification of Anwer Books of that attempt. She would have started her preparation in right earnest for Nov'14 exam and there is no guarantee that she passes in this attempt. So friends, we cannot deny the fact that the mistakes are not being committed by the Valuers and traperancy is completely missing at the time of valuation of Answer scriptts. Even if you find out a mistake and report to the Institute, there is hardly anything that you can do about it as Institute does not entertain any complaints later on which clearly shows that Institute is not interested to alter the mistakes committed by it.
