Mandatory to file tds return

I have applied for tan no to deduct tax on rent paid 45000 pm as my firm dont have audit.I come to know now that there were no requirement to deduct tds as there is no audot applicable on me. shoud i file nil tds return or what should I do?

if it is partnership firm then you have to deduct TDS.
No need to file Nil TDS return. however you can submit intimation regarding Nil transaction.

There is no need of Submitting the intimation of nil transaction
Intimation for Nil TDS return is not mandatory. But it is advisable to submit intimation for Nil transaction.

then surrender the TAN.
