Hello Experts!

Where to show loss from trading in derivatives in ITR3?

I know it is considered as a non-speculative business loss but i am confused with where to show this in ITR. Do not see such option in ITR3.

Please help.

Thank you in advance.

it has to shown under capital loss (short term or long term).

Trading in Derivatives is considered as Business and it should be shown as business income or loss, that is for sure.

I am just confused about where to show this in ITR 3!

Filing ITR 3 is ok as business income
fill up Balance sheet figures and then fill up P&L figures. Net bottom result will be Loss with Minus sign before figure.

I think you misunderstood the question!

Problem is not how to fill BS and PL, question is in which column should we show loss from trading in derivatives!

Show in Trading Account
4 A iii F&O Income
9 iii F&O Loss
Net result will be F&O loss as per your query
