We have devastating fire in our unit in Aug. 2008. Accident was reported in all reputed daliy news papers in region. During the accident we got all the c forms for year 2005-06 and 2006-2007 collected from purchasers were destroyed. Indemity bond and copy of FIR was provided by us to our AA during assement but they demanded duplicate c forms . But we provided the AA photocopies of counterfiles of burnt c forms after obtaing from our coutomers/purchasers. But AA did not accepted and a large amount ,running in Lakhs, has been demanded by AA as our purchasers are not issuing duplicate c forms . Kindly advise any remeady ? Can demand be chllanged before higher auhiorities or court.? Is there any similar case decided by Court/Tribunal ?
Can this demand be paid in Installments as our unit is SSI .?Kindly advise what to do.? AA stands for Assesing Authiority
