The answer in my view is- Cotton Bags
reason- if u put water on currency notes or let it burn, it would be waste.
if u try to extinguish fire from gold either way, its just going to melt so, there would be bo loss
if u extinguish fire from Cotton bags first, atleast it will help u in stopping the fire that is spreading and also that the cotton bags can be further used after drying them up..
So the answer is cotton bags!!!!

Firstly we compare the Gold room and the currency room.
The Gold will only melt with the fire, but the currency will be burnt so we should try to save the Currency room. Now compare it with the Cotton room.
The value of cotton is less in comparision to the value of currency notes in the other room and we can purchase same amt of cotton out of a part of the currency Saved. So the room with the notes should be saved first.
Wel, Ambulance never water anywhere, y dn't they call Fire brigade?????

cotton first , because it catches fire easily and will severe the fire , if cotton is wet if willnot catch fire , gold cannot melt easily , even if it melts , it wont effect its structure rather it will become more expensive form kundan

my vote goes to the currency notes. because
1. currency doesnt get dissolved in water. so it can be dried and used.
2. gold need not be watered. because it has high melting point and it is not a good conductor.
3. no use watering cotton. its quality is down the second it catches. instead of that currency itself can be watered.

MY ANSWER WOULD BE A LITTLE DIFFERENT.
DON'T WATER ROOM WITH GOLD AS GOLD MAY NOT MELT AWAY.
PUT OUT FIRE IN ROOM OF CURRENCY NOTES. BURNING CURRENCY NOTES IS CRIMINAL ACTION(THOUGH IT WAS AN ACCIDENT). COTTON MAY BE LESS PRECIOUS COMPARED TO .....cASH. HAHAHA
