Leave in cashment received by widow of employee

sir plz resolve my query if a widow received some leave in cashment of her husband from company after death of employee(her husband) is tds applicable or not and also this amount is taxable in hand of widow or not

It is specifically exempt only for the government employees.....i.e., the encashment is a result of some state or central govt. employment......May be it needs to be calculated like how it's calculated for other employees for receipt of leave salary on retirement.....

Agree with Swetha,It will be treated as same as before,It will be taxable in same manner as it would have been taxed earlier,So TDS is deductible,

However this is my opinion wait for others to comment..

please dont mind u/s 192 is not applicable here and its all the compensation in hand of widow so tds not applicable
