Lawyers income tax

If liyer is willing to file ITR what is the proof of income earned?  on which basis he can file ITR?

because he didn't maintain any books of accounts regarding receipts.

Sec 44ADA is the best option to be opted by Lawyer and other professionals...Showing 50% of the receipts as Profit for the year..
Hope gross receipts are less than 50 lakhs per annum.

At least a thumb rule of average income earned per month must be there.
In case threshold income is less than max. amount not chargeable to tax.

OK. but to file return there should some proof related to income earned, in this case loyer didn't maintain any books of account about his earnings, in which case  i want to know on what basis can he file return?
