Late filing penalty if registed for more than one service

Mr. Dhananjaya, The Penalty is not for each and every service ur registered for. It is on the assessee as a whole.

As we know that return for all the services are filed in a single return. There is no question of paying penalty seperately for each service.

The Due date of filing the service tax return for the HYE Sep/Mar is 25th of the month next to the H.Y.E.

If return filed before the due date can also be revised within 90 days of filing the original return (without paying any penalty, even if the revised return is filed after the said due date of 25th)

No Sir !!! You can pay penalty for both the services at once.

You file a return according to the premises registered.

In a single premise, there can be numerous services.

Hence, when you file a return, it is for that particular premise, not particular service. Instead, all such services are mentioned in that premise for return purpose.

So, in case of late return filing, you have to pay late return penalty for ONE return only, not for separate services.
