For job interview one should stick to the basics. I mean good knowledge of the course is very much required. A genuine interview is based on the knowledge of your course and questions related to the job.

For some sample interview questions, please use google search.

Thank u so much sir....!!

In my opinion , being fresher candidates, we are not expected to pursue volumes of highly skilled knowledge. As highlighted by Ankur Sir above, the basics are something that we will be tested upon and that is what we should be well acquainted with. Having said that, general understanding of the current economic and regulatory environment backed with insights and idea about the sector/company that you are willing to apply for will really put you in an advantageous position. Though it is needless to mention, but positive attitude and confidence in your body language and tone will be the most important determinant of your candidature (in my opinion based upon my experience).

And though it has nothing to do with this thread, but still I would request Ankur Sir opinion on "being freshers with CA & CS profile, how good is a job profile in internal control and management (governance) in which preparing and circulating MIS  forms 50-60% of the work"??

And talking of personal experiences, I appeared for interview in globally leading hotel chain and to start with, there were two multiple choice tests concerned with the basics in Accounts & Finance followed by two rounds of interview. And the interview was very basic asking about exposure and skill and other general things. No question was asked about the skills and subjective knowledge except the MS Excel test. I was shortlisted, though I din't joined.

The other one that I appeared for was in among the globaly leading telecom player and again it was very easy going and there was only one question relating to skill " How would process vendor's payout and what controls you would exercise for its proper processing and its recognition in the IT systems (Oracle)"? And rest of the conversation was general discussion like how would you rate your writing skills, your knowledge about oracle, excel and would you be comfortable working in team, in governance and controls etc. ANd I joined that role.

So, I would conclude that once you get the call for interview or you decide to appear for the interview, it will be easy going. You won't be expected to possess vast amounts of knowledge. Just stick to the basics and show some real positive attitude.

All the very best for your endeavorsyes

Thanx Neeraj Ji for sparing tym for my problem.... tq for sharing ur personal experinc.....

Yor're welcome Ms. Komal. Even I would request you to share your experiences that you come across.

yup sure.......... :)

I can tell my experience for PSU's...mostly every PSU go for their own test even for ca's...thus if you qualify the written...then practically u have cleared CA + the test of PSU...So most of the times they go easy on professional topics (specially for freshers) and stress more on getting idea about your overall personality and general intelligence...the professional questions if asked are more of the general nature rather than deep concepts.
